The Defensa y Justicia football club from Florencio Varela has made the decision to terminate the contract it had with coach Pablo De Muner, according to an official statement issued by the club's directors. In the statement, the club thanks the outgoing coach for his commitment and professionalism, while wishing him success in his upcoming challenges.
The team will be temporarily led by Tobías and Alejandro Kohan, who will take charge in the upcoming training sessions while the management searches for De Muner's successor. During his time in charge, De Muner's cycle with the team did not meet expectations, with an inconsistent performance in the 2025 Apertura Tournament.
Defensa y Justicia accumulated five victories, four draws, and seven losses in the tournament, showing a lackluster performance and lacking a defined identity and the ability to enhance its young talents, something fundamental in the club's philosophy.
An important point of criticism was the lack of promotion of players from the Reserve, which has usually been a source of talent for the club.
It is noted that De Muner will not continue in charge of the team and that last season no talent from the lower categories was highlighted, which influenced the management's evaluation.
In this scenario, Defensa y Justicia is now focusing its efforts on stabilizing itself for the remainder of the year, rebuilding its sports project around a new coach, and opening a new chapter in its footballing history.
